A 1UP USA rack for one bike, held by the tyres rather than the frame. We fit them vertically onto rear carriers, and they work flat on a roof rack too. Choose standard duty or super duty.
Description
The 1UP USA rack holds a bike by its tyres rather than its frame, so nothing clamps a painted tube or a carbon one. It is aluminium throughout, with no plastic parts.
We fit these vertically onto rear carriers, so the bike goes on the back of the van rather than being lifted to roof height, and the roof stays clear for everything else. The same rack also mounts flat on a roof rack if that suits your van better. Either way it bolts to a pair of bars.
Standard duty takes tyres up to 3 inches wide, and up to 5 inches with 1UP’s fat tyre spacer kit, which is bought separately from them.
Super duty takes everything from a 16-inch child’s bike up to a 29er, and it takes 5-inch fat tyres with no spacer kit at all. It also loads one-handed, which on the standard rack is a paid upgrade we have not bought.
Both racks are black. They are supplied on their own rather than fitted, so you or your fitter mounts them, and the carrier or the roof bars are not included. Each rack carries one bike, so order one for each bike you want to take.
